HIFU 7D

Aesthetic Applications:

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive therapeutic ultrasound technology that delivers focused ultrasound energy into targeted layers of skin and subcutaneous tissue to induce thermal coagulation and stimulate tissue remodeling.

The term 7D HIFU refers to the seventh-generation multi-depth HIFU platform, designed to treat seven different tissue depths with precision.

Mechanism of Action

  1. Focused Ultrasound Energy

    • Ultrasound transducers focus acoustic energy into small, well-defined focal zones beneath the skin.

    • Frequencies typically range between 2 MHz and 7 MHz, with focal depths varying from 1.5 mm to 13 mm.

  2. Thermal Coagulation Points (TCPs)

    • At the focal point, tissue is rapidly heated to approximately 60–70°C without damaging surrounding structures.

    • This creates micro-coagulation zones while leaving the skin’s surface intact (non-ablative).

  3. Collagen Denaturation & Neocollagenesis

    • The heat causes instantaneous collagen fiber contraction (immediate tightening effect).

    • A controlled wound-healing cascade follows, triggering fibroblast activity, neocollagenesis, and elastogenesis over 6–12 weeks.

  4. SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) Targeting

    • Unlike lasers or RF, HIFU can penetrate deeply to the SMAS layer (≈4.5 mm), the same tissue lifted in surgical facelifts.

    • This allows non-surgical tightening and lifting of facial contours.

7D-Specific Technology

  • Multi-layer penetration: Delivers energy at 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm, 6.0 mm, 9.0 mm, and 13 mm, covering epidermis, dermis, SMAS, and subcutaneous fat.

  • Cartridge-based precision: Different transducers focus on specific depths for tailored treatment (e.g., 1.5 mm for fine lines, 13 mm for body fat reduction).

  • Fractionated & linear shot modes:

  • Fractional mode creates precise micro-thermal zones for skin tightening.

  • Linear mode delivers energy lines, more effective for adipose reduction and body contouring.

Clinical Outcomes

  • Skin tightening: Immediate collagen contraction and long-term remodelling.

  • Non-surgical facelift: SMAS tightening restores facial definition.

  • Wrinkle reduction: Stimulates dermal regeneration.

  • Body contouring: Linear depth cartridges disrupt fat cells at deeper levels (9–13 mm).

  • Longevity: Results improve over 2–3 months and can last up to 18–24 months.

Key Technical Advantages of 7D HIFU

  • Multi-depth precision → customizable for skin, fat, and muscle layers.

  • Non-invasive → no needles, incisions, or downtime.

  • Selective thermal injury → spares epidermis while targeting deeper tissues.

  • A combination of lifting, tightening, and fat reduction in one platform.

HIFU Aftercare Instructions

To support optimal results following your HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment, please follow these aftercare guidelines:

1. Stay Hydrated:
Drink plenty of water for at least several days to a week post-treatment. This helps flush out your lymphatic system, aiding in the natural elimination of cellular debris, including fat cells that have undergone necrosis as a result of the procedure.

2. Avoid Heat Exposure:
Refrain from exposing your skin to additional heat sources (such as hot showers, saunas, or intense sun) for a few days after treatment. HIFU works by heating deep layers of skin to a temperature of up to 65°C, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Therefore, it is essential to avoid further heat to allow your skin to recover properly.

3. Use Sunscreen Daily:
Protect your skin by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) every day. This prevents UV damage and supports the healing process as your skin regenerates.

By following these simple steps, you’ll enhance your results and support your body’s natural healing process.
